If Our Gadgets Could Measure Our Emotions: Source #3

Wortham, Jenna. "If our gadgets could measure our emotions." New York Times 2 June 2013: 3(L). Opposing Viewpoints In Context. Web. 16 Oct. 2013.

This article talks about the potential help of AI robots and machines. Allowing them to respond to the emotions of human beings, would create this almost "symbiosis" between the person and the machine. It predicts a world where people would get along with AI machines.

This article would be helpful to show the eventual positive effects of the ever-growing AI field. It gives nice detailed examples of how these AI machines would come in handy. They would predict the needs of an individual and cater to them. Who wouldn't want that?

  1. I could not find much on Jenna Wortham. The only thing I could fund was that she was a writer for the New York Times. Although the people she mentioned, did have credibility in the AI field and their credibility is mentioned in the article.
